Overview
Why Jordan Industrial Estates? All purchases by industrial investors are subject to zero sales tax and zero customs duties, with a fixed annual income tax of 5% provided a 30% value-added is achieved, while all other taxes are set at zero. Six industrial estates and development zones cover Amman, Irbid, Karak, Mafraq, Muwaqqar, and Aqaba, providing essential and support services. Foreign investors may fully own their projects and benefit from Arab, European, US, and Canadian free trade agreements as well as the simplified rules of origin agreement with the European Union. Reduced sale prices and rental rates are available in the new industrial estates (Salt, Madaba, Tafileh) for the first 15 companies applying to purchase land or lease buildings within the first five years, up to five dunums per company, subject to special terms and criteria.
